As a non-profit organisation, Umthommbo would welcome access to any opportunity for exposure to experiences that can assist our children and youth to become confident, socially, and academically – ready to create a bright future for themselves, and simultaneously uplifting communities. This includes opportunities for training, coaching, mentoring, internships and work experience programmes. As an organisation we also welcome volunteers for “behind the scenes” professional expert services.

Areas for volunteering would include: Teaching ECD classes, teaching extra classes for primary and high school learners, internships, sports coaching, arts coaching, career guidance, exposure to industries, work experience opportunities, shared experiences with other ECDs and Youth Centres.

Since Umthommbo is an unaffiliated non-profit organisation, it is solely responsible for all costs involved in its establishment, construction and operational activities. We would like to expand our facility to construct a youth centre in addition to the ECD centre. We welcome any financial investment in this regard.

Donations towards different activities can be made in cash and/or in kind. Any amount is welcome as every Rand goes a long way. Cash donations can be paid into Umthommbo’s bank account as once-off payments, monthly payments or annual payments. Any such assistance would be most welcome. Donations for the following items would be most welcome: construction work and materials, furnishings, teachers’ salaries / stipends, food supplies, play equipment and toys, board games, STEAM related materials, stationery, library books, computers, kitchen equipment, TV and radio sets, a security system and a school minibus.
